12-05-31 | Stage One & A Case.
I have all the parts needed for stage one of the build.
The hull.
The motor & gearbox.
Kort nozzle.
Kort propeller.
Propshaft
Couplings.
Rudder servo.
The Jubilee week will mark the beginning of the build. I have a work free 7 days put aside to work on the FishPi
But first. There was a post on the Raspberry Pi News feed (http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/1310) which showed a paper case for the RPi called the Punnet. Being somewhat of a fan of papercraft I decided to give it a go.....
The instructions say to use foam for the 2mm spacer, but I didn't have any, so I used cardboard instead. I glued the template straight onto the cardboard and left it to dry before cutting it out.
I left the AV & Audio sockets unopened as I wanted to check the alignment before cutting.
Aligning the AV & Audio sockets. I have also cut out an extra window next to the USB sockets so I can get a good look at the LEDs to check the RPi's status.
The Punnet alongside papercraft models of the Audi S1, Lancia Stratos & McLaren M8. The models are available for download from http://www.ymjr.cz.
The lights are clearly visible through the added viewing window. The Punnet is still in alpha and I look forward to making future models. The Punnet was laser printed onto 300gsm white paper, it cost 36 Pence.
